Common questions

Is Dimefinch really free?

Yes. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases. Coins in the game are play money and can't be bought with real money.

What ages is it for?

Ages 7–17. When your child enters their age, Dimefinch unlocks lessons made for their age group (7–10, 11–14, or 15–17). Older kids can still replay the younger lessons.

How do I open the grown-ups area?

Tap the 🔒 lock in the top-right corner of the home screen and answer the math question. There you can see your child's progress, change their age group, check for updates, or reset progress.

How do I change my child's age or lesson level?

Open the grown-ups area (🔒 on the home screen) and tap the correct age. Lessons update right away, and no progress is lost.

Does the app collect my child's data?

No. Dimefinch has no accounts, ads, or tracking. The nickname and progress are stored only on the device. See our Privacy Policy.

Can progress move to a new phone?

Not yet. Because we don't collect any data, progress lives only on the device it was created on. Deleting the app or switching phones starts a fresh game.

Why does the savings bank pay 1% every day?

We speed up interest so kids can watch compound growth happen in days instead of years. The app explains that real banks pay interest per year, usually much less.

How do I get new lessons?

New lessons and fixes download automatically when the app opens. Your child may see a "New stuff is ready!" banner. Tap it to restart into the new version. You can also tap Check for updates in the grown-ups area.

How do I start over?

In the grown-ups area, tap Reset all progress. This erases coins, lessons, and items on that device and can't be undone.

Is Market Mania real investing?

No. Market Mania uses made-up companies and play money to teach ideas like risk and diversification. It is not investment advice.
